Bob Auskalnis serves as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for coordinating the financial, accounting, legal and treasury functions of the terminal business. Bob has held this position since the partnership began between Ashley Capital and Southern Coal Handling in 2001. Bob also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Ashley Capital. Founded in 1984, Ashley Capital is one of the largest privately-held real estate investment companies in the United States. Ashley’s current portfolio stands at approximately 22 million SF. Ashley has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, New York and Norfolk, VA. In addition to coordinating Ashley’s real estate activities, Bob also supervises Ashley’s non-real estate investments, in particular its investment in the coal terminal business as well as its ownership in WalkMed Infusion, a medical device manufacturer located in Denver. Prior to joining Ashley Capital, Bob worked for Ernst & Young, LLP and was a Vice President with Diversified Financial Management Corporation. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a Master's Degree in Taxation from DePaul University in Chicago. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society.
