John Jr. is a Licensed Professional Engineer and serves as the Vice President of the engineering division, which involves all facets of material handling design and logistics, as well as environmental regulatory compliance. Under his leadership, our engineering staff routinely provides creative conceptual layouts and accurate capital budgetary estimates for new terminal and coal handling projects, as well as upgrades and improvements to existing operations. While projects for related entities are given priority, the firm supplements its work by also providing engineering services for major utilities, Class I railroads, coal producers and even other terminal companies. Being the son of the original owner, John was exposed to the company’s activities at an early age. He began working full time in 2005, and previously held various technical and managerial positions. His original focus for the company was structural design, which has allowed him to bring a very practical perspective to his current role. John is a graduate of the University of Evansville and is currently a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
