John serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Coal Handling, the company he founded and grew to its current industry-leading status. After spending the first ten years of his career constructing and developing underground coal mines, he designed, built and operated his first coal terminal in 1985. Over the following 26 years, he has been leading a company that reflects his own reputation for competence, creativity and honesty. He has utilized his engineering and operating skills to successfully complete several unique and large-scale coal terminal design-build projects for unrelated customers, developing better concepts and superior execution to create value. John is a Professional Engineer currently registered in four states, and has Bachelor's degrees from Syracuse University as well as the State University of New York.
