Bill is the well-respected, high-energy Chief Operating Officer of Southern Coal Handling. While handling the daily operations, he also chairs our labor bargaining committee, and oversees our marketing and development staff. Bill was originally hired by John Hunt in 1985 as a Production Foreman at a privately-run rail coal terminal, which operated within a TVA power plant. Prior to that, he worked for five years as the terminal manager of a high volume truck-to-barge coal terminal in western Kentucky. He joined Southern Coal Handling in 1995 and has served in his current position of COO since that time. In addition to his operating responsibilities, he has also overseen the development and construction of several large-scale terminal development projects for our company, as well as other terminal companies and major coal burning utilities. Bill holds several mechanical and technological degrees and certifications. He is also a certified EMT and has served as Chief of the Hanson Kentucky Volunteer Fire Departments for 19 years.
